Clean the brick first to ensure the best adhesion of limewash to the brick. Using just water and a towel will be enough to get the job done.

Clean the brick

1

Mix the limewash with water to create the wash. Using the instructions on the container, you will mis it with a stir stick until it is ready.

Mix the limewash

Using a masonry brush apply the limewash to the brick, getting in-between the bricks as well.

You can use water to remove parts of the limewash to give it a distressed look. Using a spray bottle and a towel is a great way to remove areas of the limewash.
