Backsplash Makeover with Mussel Bound

First I applied the Mussel Bound to the wall, covering the entire section that I was tiling. I cut off the excess as I went.

Next I used a laser level to apply the tiles directly to the mussel bound after removing the paper. I used a classic subway pattern.

After the full tiles were installed, I cut the edge tiles with a tile cutter. After making my marks I scored and broke the tiles and put into place.

Next I added a charcoal grout in between the tiles. I used a grout float to press it into the spaces.

Then I used a bucket of water and a large sponge to wipe off the excess grout and clean the tiles.
