It is time for some progress on this Fall’s One Room Challenge! I’ve participated in this room makeover challenge 6 times now! It is a place where you can find ideas for decor and projects, and such a fun way to connect with other designers.
Some of my favorites from my past room makeovers include my master bedroom makeover, girl’s bathroom makeover, kitchen makeover, and girl’s shared bedroom makeover.
Teen Girl’s Bedroom Progress
I shared my design board for my daughter’s bedroom makeover last time, but I have had some changes and additions since then! I’m excited to be partnering with some amazing companies for this room makeover. Some new furniture from Woven Byrd is on it’s way, as well as a new ceiling fan from Kichler! Here is my updated design board:

Painting Progress
I received some furniture paint from Fusion Mineral Paint to give some pieces in her room a new look! The first piece I painted was her desk in the color Ash, and I’m loving how it turned out!
The desk was in rough condition and had tons of dirt, marks, and had been roughed up from moving a couple times. I simply cleaned the surface well, and painted 2 coats of Ash on the desk. It already looks SO much better! I’m still deciding on hardware, but I’m pretty sure I’m going with brass so it pops against the dark grey color.
I have a Fusion discount code for you as well! You can get 10% off your Fusion Paint purchase! Click here to shop!
Here is the before, and an in-progress shot:

Favorite Painting Tools
My absolute favorite painting tools are from Handy Products Co.! They have the best paint pail, pro pail, and paint tray. They have a magnet for holding your paintbrush, and removable liners for easy cleanup! I love being able to have my paint close by with the paint pail, and the comfortable hand strap makes holding it a breeze.
I was able to do some cutting in with the new paint color for the walls (Pure White by Sherwin Williams), before I roll the walls. I’m always amazed with the power of paint, and how it changes a room instantly!
