For my most recent master bedroom remodel, I decided to do a console makeover with fusion mineral paint. I had found a discounted console table due to some minor damage. I knew that I could make it look like new with some cleaning and a couple coats of paint.

Console Table Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint
If you’ve been here for a while, you know that I love to paint furniture! I love using paint to transform all the things, and furniture one of my favorites to transform.
For my master bedroom makeover I was envisioning a TV wall with an assortment of gallery frames, and a console table underneath to house all the TV accessories. I also wanted to create a focal point to that wall to give it some interest.
I scored a discounted console table for around $30 (you can still purchase the table here). The damage done to it was minor and in a spot on the side that wasn’t very noticeable.

It was VERY dirty and had tons of sticky tape residue and dirt. I used my lemon oil to clean it up (such a nice smelling way to clean residue!) and that prepared the surface for painting.
The damaged portion had a small hold punched through the side where the screw was, so I added some wood filler to cover up the hole and gave that area a good sanding. Then I was ready to paint!
Fusion Mineral Paint adheres to SO many surfaces, and in many cases you don’t need to sand the surface first. For this table I didn’t sand and just painted directly to the table. It adhered perfectly and it looks amazing! I chose the color Coal Black for a true deep black color.
I kept the fronts of the drawers unpainted to give it some contrast against the black furniture paint, and I’m so glad I did! The two-toned drawers are beautiful and makes the design and texture of the drawers pop!
New Console Table Brass Pulls
Some of the pulls were damaged so I purchased these replacement pulls from Home Depot. I love the shape and color of them, not to mention how substantial and sturdy they are!

Now that it is styled in our bedroom I’m LOVING the console table! It is exactly what I was envisioning for the room. With the gallery wall above it, the wall is definitely a focal point.
