Modern Farmhouse Master Bathroom Makeover

I’m so excited to share my modern farmhouse master bathroom makeover with you today! Over the last year we’ve been working on our living room, nursery, guest bathroom, and now we’ve finally finished our master bathroom. I can’t wait to show you how we have given this bathroom a budget friendly makeover!

This budget bathroom makeover was transformed by paint, new flooring, and some new accessories for the space. As usual I kept to a budget and tried to save money where-ever I could. Thanks to the power of paint and some thrifted finds, I was able to give this bathroom a beautiful makeover!

This bathroom started as a dark and dated space that I desperately wanted to brighten up. We started by painting the walls in the color Silver Drop by Behr, which is my very favorite neutral paint color!

We removed the old tile floor and had some of this beautiful white honeycomb tile with grey grout to modernize the space and make it feel larger. The classic style of this honeycomb tile is a gorgeous way to add some character and style.

I think the star of the show is this runner from Ruggable! I had been shopping for bathroom runners for months and couldn’t find anything that I absolutely loved. When I took a look at Ruggable’s options for runners I fell in love with the Malileh Heriz Opal pattern. It is the perfect size for my bathroom and brings some beautiful color and texture into the space.

These rugs are not only non-toxic (something that is SO important to me and my family), they are machine washable! Yep, you can simply separate the top rug from the pad and throw it in the washing machine. I’m loving how easily it can be cleaned. I found the oval mirror on Wayfair, and the modern farmhouse bathroom vanity light was a Facebook Marketplace find for only $25! There was a small defect near one of the light bulbs but it cannot even be seen once it was installed. Such a score for such a beautiful vanity light fixture.

The vintage wall shelf was another Facebook Marketplace find for only $8. I simply cleaned it up and gave it a couple coats of my favorite spray paint, and it totally gave it a new life!

There was a space between the mirror and wall space that I thought could use a decorative hook with a hanging plant. I found this lantern hook at Target and used a plant hanger to hand this “string of bananas” succulent. It is the perfect addition to create some interest and add some more life with a live plant!
