I’m loving all the florals and Spring decor lately! This month I’ve teamed up with some fellow blogger friends to bring you a Pinterest Inspired Spring basket floral arrangement. I’m so excited to share with you how I styled my budget friendly hanging basket with some faux florals. This is such an easy way to add some Spring decor to your front door, entry way, or mudroom!

Today I am excited to join some fellow bloggers to bring you a Spring Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy at Country Road 407. We’ve all created some Spring decorating ideas to help you decorate your home this Spring!

Our inspiration for this Spring decor comes from Tracy at Tracy’s Trinkets and Treasures. I love how she arranged her flowers and placed it on her front door. It is the perfect way to create a welcoming front porch!

While I was strolling the isles at Target last week I came across this hanging seagrass basket. It was the perfect shape and size for just this type of project, and under $17! So budget friendly and beautiful!

Creating A Spring Basket Floral Arrangement
First you’ll start by choosing your basket that you want to place your flowers in. I found this seagrass hanging basket at Target for under $17 and it is perfect for displaying flowers! It is the perfect size so that your flowers won’t fall down too low and not be seen peeking out of the top.

Next you will choose a mix of faux greenery and faux flowers. I find that adding different heights, textures, and colors helps the arrangement of faux flowers look more realistic and appealing. I found the majority of my faux greenery at Hobby Lobby, and some of my faux flowers at Michaels and Dollar Tree.
Then you will start separating your faux greenery and faux flowers by using a wire cutter or scissors. You can cut each stem from the bottom of the arrangement near the base, so that it will be easy to move each stem around in the arrangement.
If your wire cutters aren’t cutting it (very punny, I know ;)) then you can try this trick that I’ve learned. I’ll cut as much as I can through the plastic outer layer, and then start bending the wire in the spot I cut. I’ll bend it back and forth a handful of times until it stars feeling loose and then start twisting the wire until it comes apart!
This is a good trick to use if you don’t have time to run out and grab some wire cutters. Or if you’re too lazy – like me – and don’t want to rummage through the garage looking for a better pair 😉
Then you will start placing your stems in the basket! I started with the faux greenery and mixed them together so that they were evenly distributed. After the faux greenery was in I added my flowers, and adjusted them until it looked good!

Where To Find Cheap Faux Flowers
- Hobby Lobby – The faux greenery and faux flowers go on sale for 50% off every few weeks at Hobby Lobby. If you are wanting to grab some flowers check the Hobby Lobby weekly ad first to see if they are on sale. If not, chances are that they will be the following week! And if you can’t wait, pull up the 40% off coupon on your phone and take advantage of some savings!
- Michaels – At Michaels there are usually sales on their seasonal faux greenery and faux flowers. This last week all the Spring faux flowers were 50% off, plus I found a coupon in the Michaels app for an additional 20% off! If you shop close to the season you’re decorating for you’ll find some awesome sales!
- Dollar Tree – If you’re willing to do a little searching, you can find some pretty flowers at Dollar Tree! They can be found in various locations in the store, so you’ll want to check a few different spots inside the store. I found some faux flowers near the entrance of the store, in the seasonal Spring section, and in the craft aisle. I was able to find these white hydrangeas, and these white petunias that I love!
