I am so excited to share my daughter’s botanical farmhouse nursery today! I’ve been working on decorating her room for the last couple months since we moved into our fixer upper. After I found some botanical wall decor, I was hooked with the vintage floral design for her room!

A Botanical Farmhouse Nursery Makeover
When we first started working on our fixer upper we started painting every single room in the house. Every room was a different color – 11 different colors to be exact! The array of colors included red, yellow, maroon, and brown! The whole house definitely needed some fresh paint. The room we turned into my daughter’s nursery started as a navy blue color and felt really dark. We used the color Silver Drop by Behr to really brighten the space. Here is the before:

Before we moved in to our fixer upper we replaced all of the flooring in the house! It was desperately needed, and we really wanted to get rid of the old carpet and tile flooring before moving in all of our furniture. Thankfully my husband was able to remove the old tile, and arrange for all the flooring installation right before we moved in.
We added new carpet to all of the bedrooms and the living room to keep the rooms feeling cozy. I’m not a huge fan of the look of carpet, but I managed to find some in a speckled grey color that I love. Now any spills or stains are hardly noticeable and the darker grey color is beautiful! I found this vintage inspired rug for her room that looks amazing against the carpet. I couldn’t believe the price for such a beautiful and large rug! The vintage feel and soft colors are perfect for her room. This was an amazing find that pulls all the colors of the room together!

The first items I purchased for her room were some white scalloped wall shelves. These scalloped shelves are so sweet and feminine. I found them at Hobby Lobby and I love the rustic details. I grabbed them when they were 50% off, making them $12 each!

The botanical metal artwork was an Amazon find at only $9, and goes perfectly with my feminine botanical decor! I also love this set that would be a perfect way to decorate for Spring!
I created the wood bead garland (I sell these here in my Etsy shop!) and I found the modern white planter recently in the Target dollar spot for $5! The little amber bottle was a vintage find that I was able to pick up at a local thrift store.
This beautiful artwork with my daughter’s name is from dawnskydecor. I love supporting small businesses on Etsy, and was so excited when they provided me with this gorgeous piece for her nursery makeover! The lettering is perfect and the lace detail gives it a sweet feminine touch.

I found the monogram botanical wall flag at Urban Outfitters, and it goes perfectly with her room design. I love the light pink letter and the vintage feel of the flowers. The small sign was a Hobby Lobby find a couple years ago!
I bought this beautiful rocking chair second hand and it is just gorgeous! It has beautiful tufted details and looks so elegant. Investing in a quality rocking chair is so important, especially if you have multiple children! This is the one item that you shouldn’t skimp on. I learned this the hard way after going through a couple cheap ones that didn’t last!

These botanical wall decals are a big statement in her room. They bring in beautiful color, texture and interest to the wall! InAnInstant provided me with this set of botanical wall decals and I’m obsessed with them! You can arrange them how you like, and peel them off so easily. Wall decals are a great way to decorate because they are easily removable and don’t create any damage to the wall!

I found this set of signs and foam flowers at Hobby Lobby. The flowers are made of foam and super lightweight, perfect for making an arrangement on the wall! I added an extra leaf decal from the set of wall decals to the white flowers. The dresser started as a mint color, and I recently painted it last year. You can find the pink dresser makeover post here!

One of my favorite baby products that I’ve discovered recently is the Dock A Tot grand. It’s for babies 9 months – 36 months so it will grow with them long term! Dock A Tot provided me with a grand dock in Carrera marble, and I am so impressed with the handmade quality! My daughter has been loving this since we received it. It is a soft cozy place for her to rest, and the padded sides make her feel safe and secure. They are all natural and made with 100% cotton. This will grow with her until she’s 3 and I’m so excited that she loves it! The gorgeous pattern gives it a modern touch that I love so much. You can receive $10 off your purchase if you order through my referral link here!

My mom gave me this white storage bench a few years ago, and it has been perfect for toy storage for my girls! I finally gave it a fresh coat of fusion mineral paint in the color Casement, and it looks so fresh and brand new!

What do you think of my botanical farmhouse nursery makeover? I must say that it is such a vast improvement from where it started! The only thing I liked about the room originally was the plantation shutters. I’ve always wanted plantation shutters and I have to say that they are all that I thought they would be! They have so much character and are so easy to open and operate. They are awesome! (Insert jazz hands here!)

This botanical farmhouse nursery turned out better than I hoped for! I’m so happy with how the newly painted walls brighten up the room, and the botanical wall decals just pop against the light grey color. I love to spend time in there – and that’s a good thing because I’m rocking her in that amazing rocking chair multiple times a day! 🙂
