Christmas is by far my favorite time of the year, and I love making the most of it every day of December (and even a few days in November)! I love everything about Christmas. Making Christmas cookies for the neighbors, listening to Christmas music, wrapping the gifts that I lovingly picked out for my family and friends .. it is all so wonderful!

This year I wanted to create a Christmas Count-Down Advent Activity Calendar for my children so that they have a special Christmas Activity to look forward to each day, and it comes as a surprise as they reveal it one day at a time. I have included this special Calendar for you as a free download!

Download Page 1, Page 2, Page 3 and Page 4 of the free printable Christmas Advent Activity Calendar.

The first 3 pages include 24 activities, and 3 blank cards for you to fill in your own activities if you’d like! You can customize it for your family’s schedule and needs. The last page includes the printable numbers that you can clip onto your activity cards.

Instructions

1. Once you have printed your cards and number labels, the first step is to cut them out and assemble them in whichever order that you want them in. The order could depend on your family calendar and activities that your family already has planned.

2. Decide how you’d like to display your Calendar. You could simply tape your lines to the wall with some washi tape or take an empty frame and attach your ribbon/string/twine using any method you choose. You can attach your lines to your frame using a hot glue gun to help them stay in place. I created 4 rows to give plenty of room for the cards to fit.

3. Using clothespins, hang the cards and number labels together on your lines. I found that my large clothespins were a little heavy, so I would recommend using smaller ones like these mini clothespins. I painted one side of my clothespins gold to give them more Christmas sparkle!

4. Enjoy your Advent Calendar with your family! There are family activities, as well as opportunities to bless others.

I hope you and your family enjoy spending your Christmas season celebrating together, and remembering the reason for the season. We are trying our best to help our children focus on giving to others, spending time with loved ones, and learning about the birth of Jesus and what that means for the world.

“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
