As the new year is approaching I am starting to think of all of my goals for the new year. The most important goal on my list is to spend more intentional quality time with family and capturing those memories. I also want to find joy in everyday moments and find things to be thankful for, even on difficult days.
While I was brainstorming ways to do this I remembered an idea that a friend shared with me. Her family writes down memories and events that happen throughout the year and saves them in a special place then reads them all as a family on New Years Eve. What a fun way to celebrate your year as a family on New Year’s Eve! I decided to create a Memory Jar to keep our memories throughout the year – with free printable for you!
With Christmas right around the corner I thought it would be fun to provide you with some printable gift tags. I have always enjoyed wrapping presents and finding beautiful gift wrap and gift tags. It was definitely time for me to design some of my own. Christmas is such a magical and wonderful time to make your gifts look extra special.
Looking for a thoughtful DIY gift for someone in your life? As much as I love hunting for good deals on gifts, I also really enjoy making DIY handmade gifts. They are meaningful, thoughtful, made with love, and can be budget-friendly.
Filling my family’s Christmas Stockings is one of my favorite things to do! Growing up one of my favorite things on Christmas morning was opening up our stockings after all of the presents were exchanged. It was like a great big surprise to get one “final” gift that we had forgotten about. My parents would go all out with our Stockings – filling it to the brim with fun little gifts, candies, and gift cards. It was like icing on the cake to get gifts and then a whole stocking full of little gifts!
One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was decorating the Christmas tree with my family. We would head out to get a tree right after Thanksgiving (we just couldn’t wait any longer!) and decorate the tree together. We would reminisce about our favorite ornaments and where they came from. I have loved carrying on this tradition with my family and our children have really started to enjoy it too! It is so fun to unwrap the special ornaments that we have collected over the years, and adding a new ornament that I’ve made recently. Bring on the decorating!
